Mine to Treasure

Prior to shipping out for a military assignment, I had the best sex of my life with a guy whose name I never got. 

Now I'm home from my six-month deployment and waking up to an angry phone call from a guy claiming to have my escape artist of a dog. 

Coincidently, he's the guy who took care of her while I was gone. 

Imagine my surprise when I walk a couple of blocks and come face to face with the man who rocked my world and starred in my fantasies for the last one hundred and eighty days of my monotonous life. 

Something about him feels like home. I knew it the night we met and kicked myself for not exchanging information. 

Now, I have a second chance, but after another amazing night together, he ghosts me—much like I did to him six months ago—and I'm left heartbroken.

I fell faster than I should have—I know this—but something tells me he’s the one. 

Can I blame him for putting on the brakes when every time we’re near each other we burn hot and move fast?
