What happens when the one woman you've loved for the last ten years runs out of excuses as to why you can't be together?

Mine to Treasure is book 8 (the last book) in the Veteran K9 Team eight book series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Yes! The one I have been anticipating SO much! Janey's story! I absolutely loved it. I loved Saint. He was so awesome. He was so in love with Janey from the start. And I felt so bad for him that she didn't give them the chance they deserved. I also understood Janey's concerns too. She's in a man's world. She doesn't want to be seen in a certain light. She wants to be seen as a true partner. The guys that work with her now are top notch and would never view her as anything but the awesome woman she is. Their road to each other was bumpy, but they were perfect for each other. I loved seeing Saint find peace in all ways, with his sister too. This was such a great story to end the series with.

Synopsis

Prior to shipping out for a military assignment, I had the best sex of my life with a guy whose name I never got.

Now I'm home from my six-month deployment and waking up to an angry phone call from a guy claiming to have my escape artist of a dog.

Coincidently, he's the guy who took care of her while I was gone.

Imagine my surprise when I walk a couple of blocks and come face to face with the man who rocked my world and starred in my fantasies for the last one hundred and eighty days of my monotonous life.

Something about him feels like home. I knew it the night we met and kicked myself for not exchanging information.

Now, I have a second chance, but after another amazing night together, he ghosts me—much like I did to him six months ago—and I'm left heartbroken.

I fell faster than I should have—I know this—but something tells me he’s the one.

Can I blame him for putting on the brakes when every time we’re near each other we burn hot and move fast?

And if not, how much time do I give him to realize we're perfect for each other?
